happens if I go over my phone minutes?
A: Minutes over
your monthly allotment are billed at 3.5˘ per minute in
6-second
increments. You
also have the option of purchasing 500 extra minutes for
$10.00. Just call
our office at 548-6909 to request extra minute blocks when you
need them.

Q: Who will be
my local service and long distance service providers, and how
many phone bills can I expect to receive?
A: US SONET will
be both your local and long distance
provider. Service
from any other company will no longer be
needed. You will
receive one simple, easy to understand bill each month.

Q: What hidden
charges will appear on my phone bill?
A: As a
competitive local exchange carrier, US SONET is not required
to charge (and chooses not to charge) extraneous
fees. Therefore,
the only extra charges you will see are federal, state and
local taxes.

an additional phone line?
A:
Yes. A second
line with a different number is just $18.00 per
month. Unlimited
local calling is included in the price, with long distance
calls billed at 3.5˘ per minute in 6-second
increments. 500
long distance minutes can be purchased for an additional
$10.00 per month.

use my fax machine with your service?

Yes. Any
equipment you currently use on your phone line can be used
with
US SONET’s fiber service.

US SONET consider a “local” call?
A: US SONET’s
local calling area is the same as other local exchange
carriers serving Salem; namely, the Salem, Centralia, Mt.
Vernon, Kell, Iuka, Kinmundy, Harmony, and Bluford.
