Q:  How long would my contract obligation be?

  With US SONET, there are no contracts.  You are free to cancel your services at any time.  With this in mind, we are going to prove to you on a daily basis that US SONET is your best choice for your personal communications.

Q:  Will you have to rewire my house?

A:  No.  US SONET uses your existing phone, cable TV/satellite, and/or network wiring to connect to the fiber optic network.

Q:  What is involved with the installation?

A:  A gateway box will be attached to the outside of your home, and a drop cable will be buried in your yard to connect our distribution fiber to your gateway.  A power supply, which will allow you to use your telephone even if your power is out, is required to be placed on an interior wall.  From the gateway, your existing wiring is used to connect to your telephone and television equipment, and 50 feet of Ethernet cable is supplied, if needed, to connect to your computer.

Q:  How will I know when to cancel services with my current providers?

A:   US SONET will let you know when to cancel your services.  If you need your service cancelled by a certain date, we will work with you to ensure no interruption in service and no overlapping bills.  If SBC is your local telephone provider, they will cancel your account automatically when they port your number over to US SONET.  Otherwise, we will let you know when to cancel services.
