Click here to print this page

1. Windows 95/98/ME users - Click on Start, go to Settings and then left click on the Control Panel. In the Control Panel, left click on the Internet Options.

Windows XP/2000 users - Click on Internet and Network Connections and then click on Internet Options.

2. In Internet Options, click on Connections. Under Connections, make sure you have "US SONET (Default)" in the white box which is called Dial-up and Virtual Private Network settings. Under Dial-up and Virtual Private Network settings, it states the following: "Choose Settings if you need to configure a proxy server for a connection" - left click on "Always dial my default connection." and then click on the "Apply" button. Click on "US SONET (Default)" and then click on the "Settings..." button.

Checking your Dial-up Settings - Step 2

3. In US SONET Settings, uncheck all boxes that are check-marked. Make sure you have your username type in correctly without "@ussonet.net" because that is for US SONET E-mail. Clear out your password and re-type the password you have set-up with US SONET. Click on the "Properties" button.

Check your Dial up Settings - Step 3

4. Make sure the telephone number in the telephone field is the correct US SONET Dial-up Number and that the number does not have any dashes.
