SONET INTERNET HELP - Setting up a Dial-Up Connection

1.
Begin by clicking on start and going to run

In your run, type inetwiz (does not matter if it is capitalize or
not) and then o.k.

Internet Connection Wizard comes up, and by default the option should
be on Connect using my phone line. Click on next.

(Skip this step if you get step one of three) New Dialing Location
comes up, and put 618 in the area code text box. Click on o.k. on
bottom of New Dialing Location and also click on ok, on New Dialing
Location properties.

Type
in the access telephone (no dashes) you use to connect to the
internet in the telephone text field. Click on the check-box
that says, "use area code and dialing rules" or "use
are code and country code". Then, click on Next.

Put in the username and password, US SONET has given you. Click
on Next.

7.
Clear out "Connect To......." and put in US SONET. Click
on Next.

8.
Click on yes if you have an US SONET e-mail account (Click
here for e-mail account set-up) and want to
use an default e-mail program, i.e. Outlook Express, etc. , and
no if you neither have US SONET e-mail account or if you rather
use Squirrel
mail. Click on next.

9.
Click on Finish to complete the Internet Connection Wizard. If you
would like an US SONET dial-up connection, please read the following:
For
Windows 95, 98 and ME users, click on My Computer icon, and
then click on Dial-up Networking or Network Connections for Windows
XP and 2000 users. Right click on the US SONET connection and then
left click on Create Shortcut. A message with the following opens,
"Windows cannot place the shortcut here. Do you want it on
your desktop instead?". Click on yes to place the US SONET
short-cut on your desktop.
10.
Connect to US SONET by click on Internet Explorer or US SONET dial-up
connection.
